During this course, you will design and create a contemporary 2D mosaic using traditional techniques with marble on mesh (25 x 25cm). You will learn how to identify different types of marble, how to use a hammer & Hardie and nippers to cut natural stone, as well as placement and cutting techniques. Discover the simplicity and unlimited creative possibilities using the direct method onto mesh without grouting. We discuss interior and exterior substrates for 2D pieces and the correct ways to commence and strengthen a piece from the beginning. Unlimited extensive sharing of skills acquired is exchanged over the two days.
